"My love affair with collecting paper (especially with text) began when I was a child.
I had the wacky notion that if I carefully stored them under my bed that, by osmosis,
I would learn to read. My work is all about paper:  torn, coloured, layered every imaginable kind.
Over the years I have collected scores of paper, photographs and small artifacts. What most inspires me as subject matter are every day objects I live with, abandoned scraps of wood and metal, random newspaper articles, practically anything discarded and considered not useful. All of these contribute to create my idea of visual communication on paper or wood.
My recent work is primarily "digital collage" combined with drawing/painting."
