Kay StanfieldMedium: PaintingKay’s current work is marked with daily notations and is an exploration of waxes and handmade papers that have been discovered by deconstructing former works. These surfaces will be exhibited at the Craig Gallery, Dartmouth, in November 2011. 
ProfileWhile my studio is still set up for papermaking this activity has been put on hold for the last body of works which are all about painting. The work continues to be about discovery as I take apart sculptures and/or reuse life drawings The Vanitas series of paintings are mainly painted over figure drawings because they are part of my art practise and the series is about the passage of time. It\‘s wonderful to play with water colours again
