Extended Profile
Artist’s Statement
My work in porcelain is an expression of a search for understanding the nature of the creative cycle common to all humans. Deep within the unknown territory of the inner landscape lies the possibility of inspiration and a mysterious connection that may open the way to the unexpected. Myths, metaphors, motifs, mystery and mud.
With a rich variety of handbuilding and throwing techniques, I create gallery quality forms, small simple to large complex, functional to sculptural with contrasting colours and by the thrilling affects possible in Japanese/North American style RAKU firing. Visit my website for more info and pics. Email Carol to receive invitations to her shows and group pottery shows.
